NHDP Statement on Free Staters’ Call for Assassination of Democratic Elected Officials in New Hampshire
In response to Free Staters calling for the assassination of every Democratic elected official in New Hampshire, NHDP Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement:
"Kelly Ayotte, John Sununu, and every New Hampshire Republican on the ballot must condemn this abhorrent behavior. Openly calling for the assassination of elected Democrats is a disgusting glorification of political violence.
"New Hampshire Republicans have allowed their party to become a breeding ground for low-life Free Staters who consistently spew vile, racist, and dangerous content. Time and again, these so-called ‘leaders’ of the Republican Party, including Donald Trump and fringe Free Staters, have repeatedly resorted to this despicable rhetoric. It shouldn’t be all that hard for Republicans, including the state’s Chief Executive Kelly Ayotte, to denounce this unacceptable behavior unless, of course, they’re comfortable embracing those who openly advocate for murdering political opponents."
